Lamb Shank at Au Lait

Lamb Shank by Au Lait

Au Lait, recently introduced their latest menu; the lamb shank. It's so delicious, tasty and tender, another brilliant cook by them other than their fish and chips, beef burger etc. So feel free to drop by at Au Lait and have a taste of their Lamb Shank. It is available by tomorrow (Monday, 3rd August 2009) But be sure you don't have anything else later on. Just enjoy your food, and you'll love it.

Steam Boat at TK Seafood Center

Few weeks back, that was on the 24th of April 2009 to be precise. The family decided to have the dinner at the TK seafood house. One of the best seafood center in Brunei. And yes, it is owned by the same owner of TK tea & curry house the one that you can find in Gadong area.

The Chef's, birthday boy (R) with big brother (L) preparing the steamboat.

But this TK seafood center is situated in Jalan Muara Berakas, Kg Sungai Hanching. Its been there for more than ten years as i remembered i used to go there several times during my young age. There's some speculation saying that its a non-halal restaurant. Well im no pro in commenting about that but what i know is that they don't serve any non-halal meat.

Yes, we need two table for the 5 of us.

The cook isn't so bad, its very delicious and the price is very reasonable. So if you plan to bring your family, friends there. I can recommend you the steamboat, grilled fish or stingray. And no, i don't get paid for promoting this restaurant. LOL

When "Mini Me" meets his Senior twin

"you shall have this......"

Scroll down or, go to the next picture... that explains why i emphasize on "mini me" hahaha. Well, this was yesterday night 5th night of Syawal, where my family and the other relatives gathered at jangsak while my second brother is back onshore for a short while.

It was quite funny to see a resemblance between this two. A total copy of my brother when he was a baby, and i was told that Abdul Waiz has the same character as my brother too when he was that age.

Funny bones...the "twins" laughing about.....

1st Syawal 1429H falls on Thursday

The Jangsak fam
The kids and their parents

So, its working day tomorrow ~ hehe.. Now whats interesting about it is that, its my first time hearing that the chinese calendar is wrong, which according to them the eid fitri falls on wednesday. But anyway, im glad its on Thursday. I'm not quite prepared i must say because im not well and i don't have the energy to help my family to move around the furnitures and stuff like that. How about you? are you prepared for the raya?

I'm going to miss Ramadhan for sure. This year its my first time working during puasa hours and the first week was quite tough as i have alot of things to do which requires a lot of energy. So a friend advices me that i won't realise the number of days or weeks of starvation as long as i have something to do each moment.

we have to sit at the open area at the entrance of the Atrium cafe

And apparently he's right. Ramadhan is almost over and it feels like its too short. I mean, time goes by so fast! I skip puasa for one day which was last weekend. That was because i can't stand the body heat that i felt and the flu that i caught and all the itchy allergies. Or else, i would have earned about $31 this month from my dad? ($1 x 31 days) hahaha.. I was just joking around. I missed that!

But i think, kids nowadays is much luckier.. because, as my friend told me. His niece made an "easy-money" as she was given $10 per day if she puasa. Now.. with $300.. i can get myself a lot of things for my Abby!

we had seafood, vegies, lamb, chicken.. you name it... hehe

I've been sungkai-ing out- a lot this time. Especially with my colleagues and sometimes with my schoolmates. Well, atleast i balance my schedule to spend time with the family too. Well sometimes, this balancing thingie is quite hard especially if i have triple invitations for sungkai in one day. Where i remembered during the second week, i was invited to sungkai at Sheraton Hotel and at the same time a friend invited to have sungkai at gadong. And at the same day, mum cooked some special dish at home. So i have to reject two 'extravagant invitations' or else i would be sungkai-ing outside for 14 consecutive days.

ini Abdul Waie sedang minum

Well, i think i only have my sungkai at six different restaurants which is Red Canopy, Le Taj, Fratinis, Pizza Hut, Arthini Restaurant Nasi Kandar and lastly at Empire Atrium which is where i just had my sungkai with my BIG family recently.

The food wasn't too bad, just that i don't eat much lately. Due to my sore throat and cold. During that day of my sungkai outing with the family at Atrium Rest. It was so crowded that we have to sit at the open area near the staircase cause there was lotsa people not only the muslims but also the tourists from Korea if im not mistaken, their slang was kinda similar like Japanese.. but anyway, one thing i don't like about them was that they don't know how to queue for the buffet! All they did was, overtaking everyone skipping the allocated dishes for their preferred dish thats been served at the other end of the table.

But anyhow.. i enjoyed the night. Okay i think this is my first LONG post for i don't know when.. probably quite a few months ago? hehe.. well.. enjoy your day everyone. cheers

Cheezy night at Primo

*Naz happily eating his pizza

A few days ago, i had sungkai at Primo Pizza Hut Mall branch with my colleagues Ash and Naz. At first, we thought that not many people would break their fast there but we were wrong about that.. It was very packed therefore we have to break our fast somewhere else first. So we went up to the foodcourt and we didnt get any seats.. it was fully occupied

And then, we had no choice but to go to West Street Cafe.. we relax for a while till 7pm and then went down again to the Primo. Finally there was one table available for us.

So actually we were helping Ash out to perform a task which was to assess the customer service and quality of the premises and it turned out well.. i don't know why but since we came into the Primo, we were welcomed and treated very well.

We had Tuna Pizza and Beef Lasagnia and it was marvelous.. Just look at Naz expression while he's enjoying his pizza.I hope he don't mind me posting his pictures. (Selamat Hari Raya Bro... Jangan marah ah*). Anyway, we blew our undercover when we showed them the vouchers. Each of them went panic-ing.. HUHU

Naz truly feeling the pizza... lol

ash, the waiter and naz ..

seriously they were shocked when they found out

After Primo, we went to Red Canopy Cafe in Batu Bersurat to complete our work. Fuh.. Finally its done. Well im going to update about it again soon..

Sungkai at KTM seafood with the gang

group photo .. look.. i play hide and seek~ *courtesy of Hierophyte*

One BIG Happy gang..though we're not complete in the picture but we had fun yesterday. I was quite unwell yesterday but made an effort to attend the sungkai gathering that i have been awaited for quite some time.

The buffet menu was great, especially the mango sweet sour fish Thai style. The place was so packed but luckily we reserved the seats earlier.

Syawal is just around the corner and i can't wait to bring Abby along and capture Syawal's meaningful moments. How exciting!

more pictures soon**

Chef at Home: Kampong style

Sungkai at Home

Chinese style? well.. today's menu is quite mixed actually. There's mum's noodle, fried sliced beef or so called "Daging dinding", Fried Prawn Jintan Manis (udang goreng jintan manis) some vegetables, Prawn fritters(Cucur Udang), Springroll Chicken Sengkuang.

Its the fifth day of Ramadhan today, Alhamdulillah so far still maintaining my fasting. Eventhough i have ecountered a few challenges but thats just normal temptations i supposed. So how's your fasting month going on everyone?

Owh, i was supposed to go to Gerai Ramadhan today but i fell asleep around four in the afternoon. HEHE.. So, to my fellow juniors.. i might go there tomorrow then.. HEHE and to Shorteyelashes, thanks for the offer =D

Okay.. so tell me what did you have for your sungkai today?

cheers

Dinner at Le Stadium Restaurant

DAD'S BIRTHDAY

Le'Stadium Restaurant Menu

Appetizer 1: Garlic Bread

Appetizer 2: not sure wats its name.. huhu but its good!

Chicken Steak Mushroom sauce.. more gravy please!

Special for the day: Golden Blue (chicken mushroom sauce)

Road Runner chicken

Salmon? (not quite sure of the name)

Fish and fried rice? (im not sure of this one as well)

Since he's pretty much like an english man.. might as well treat him at a western cuisine.. so i introduced the family with Le'Stadium. . believe me.. its my first time too and the food, 'NYAMAN' well they need to put more gravy for the gravy food! hehe am i making any sense? anyway Not to forget the 'two thumbs up' customer service! the way they interact with the customer and listening to the customer's comments on the food, which is something irregular from any other restaurants here in Brunei. . .

I wouldn't hesitate to go there again.. especially if theres any special ocassion. . So, to those who wanted to belanja their loved ones on western style food.. i recommend you at Le'Stadium Restaurant situated in Kg Rimba (on the same simpang to i-Lotus)

AND .. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! Semoga Allah melanjutkan usia serta memurahkan rezeki dan sentiasa dalam keadaan sihat wal'afiat!
