Hari Raya 25: At Azmina's House with the juniors

The girls

Hari Raya will end soon but still im enjoying it. Azmina took an opportunity to invite her friends and relatives for a grand "Rumah Terbuka Baitul Athirah" last Friday 23rd Syawal 1429H. I went there with Hiero and the funny part is that we thought that we were the only foreigners there. "foreigners" because we weren't properly dressed for the invitation

Yana

As we came into the mansion, everyone was looking at us and Hiero told me to act like we are from Brunei press. HEHE.. On the way to the dining hall, we met Sai whos more worse than us. HAHA.

The Guys

We planned not to spend so long there but since the juniors were there, we decide to stay and mingle with them.

Mimiets

While chilling with them, i didn't expect my junior school friends to be there too! It was like some kind of a reunion and it was really great to see them. Thank you Azmina for the invitation.

Local Business Man shares his experience with the Business School Students

IMG_9355
The invited guests, acting deputy principal and the lead business incubator program coordinator

Last saturday (2 August 2008), under the Incubator Programme of Sekolah Perdagangan invited an established local businessman with his partner to give a talk to the Business and Finance year 1 students and also to those who participated on the business incubator programme. The guest speaker was Pengiran Amir who is the founder of Nusa Laila Puteri School and also a poem writer. Also giving some speech was his wife/ business partner Dr Sharifah the owner of Serambi Hijau Restaurant.

The talk wasn't too boring at all.. *yeah i know how the students felt* hehe.. Anyway, Pengiran Amir shared his experience of starting his business and how he managed it to keep running and grow until today. He also stressed out on the importance to have a vision or shall i say .. the commitment to start a business with a motto some kind like "Never quit" and he also hoped that the local banks should increase the bank loan or is it.. micro credit banking amount to BND$500,000.00 as a start up capital for today's young enrtrepreneur. At he end of his speech, Pengiran Amir also read a few motivational syair or poem that he had wrote. Dr Sharifah later on tell her side of the story .. well, she also shared some experience on managing the business..

I didn't snap lotsa pictures but.. here you go.. hehe

Business School: Final Orientation day

SIGNATURE HUNT

I went to the college again today afternoon (lunch break) to snap a few pictures of the last day of orientation. Hiero was able to attend the morning session of the orientation accompanied by the famous super-duper senior Sai.., sadly Cybercanon can't make it due to his busy schedule.

Anyhow.. The afternoon session was the traditional orientation activity called
"signature hunt" the game was to look for the seniors from the given list of names and to get their signature and later at the end, whoever collected the most signature are rewarded.

i really wished that i could stay longer just now but i had to rush back to my work.. sorry all especially to my juniors.. i didn't snap much today and the pictures are quite bad as well.. i forgot to bring my external flash..

More stunning pictures can be viewed from Havoc blogger: Hiero; Joe
also at Mr.G; Mimiets

Business School: 2nd day of orientation

"KAMI CINTA SENIORS"

and thats the motto for the new enrollment who had to hang their SUPER HUGE tags on them. . This afternoon, i paid a visit to Sekolah Perdagangan or also known as Business School to witness on the activities for the new intakes which was conducted by the year two students.. Earlier, i was informed that the juniors (progressing students from PD) are being excused from being ragged... BUT i was pretty surprised when i saw the big tags hanging on their neck HAHA.. *inda apa... enjoy bah!*

The activity was pretty interesting just like the previous one.. I bet everyone was drenched with their sweat even before they proceed to the field.. why? well.. just imagine, 155+ new intakes includes the ND progressing students which is about 60+ and plus the progressing Year two students (the committee) in the Lecture Theater with limited number of seats and spoiled air-conditioner..

It was really great to meet the Havoc Family during our final day of having 'fun' as next week is going to be a tough week for all of us as we are going to start our industrial attachment. The reception just was not only for having free lunch but we also had a short doa (doa selamat) for the graduates and also for my batch for safe journey in the future.

I'd Like to thank Ms Pengiran for the invitation. and thanks for letting us taking pictures of the airplane model. HEHE

Special Greetings: welcome home

SURPRISE!

The Serba Boleh team, of the HSBC Youth Entrepreneur Award 2007-2008 have safely arrived home yesterday evening. Alhamdulillah good to see them back, even though they didn't won anything from the final challenge but atleast they went there took the challenge and the biggest thing is that they represent for our beloved country.

talking about the difficulties in HK

still chit chatting about her experience in HK ...

Went to Rena's house in the evening as the mother invited fellow classmates to make a surprise appearance at their residence. Seriously rena didn't know about the small gathering. HEHE she was quite shocked and i guess.. overwhelmed and very excited to share with us about her experience in Hong Kong. Ohh she was really chit chatting about it all the way even during dinner (the food was yummy! thanx to rena's mum..). HAHA.. Amongst the guests were Mrs Pg Shikin and husband, friends and some relatives. after the dinner, i had another invitation to attend.. so... food was everywhere! Alhamdulillah.
