The Tobacco Act 2008 part 1
THE AROMA FROM THE ARAB SMOKE
so yeah.. as you all know, The new tobacco law that's been implemented on 1st June 2008. Not only cigarette are affected but also the 'arab cigarette' or famously known as Shisha. I have done a research on how sisha could affect the health.
taken from a source; "Some research has suggested that the use of the hookah may have less comparative cancer risks, though such studies are not conclusive (Hoffman[23], Rakower, Salem 1983 and 90, Gupta Dheeraj 2001, Tandon 1995, Lubin 1992, Hazelton 2001, Stirling 1979). The levels of carbon monoxide produced during a hookah session varies widely depending on the type of coal used. Japanese charcoals are thought to produce lower amounts of carbon monoxide. However there is a notable difference in areas of carbon monoxide absorption, in that while cigarettes have a notable effect on the small respiratory tracts rather, shisha smoking mostly affects the major airways (Bakir 1991, Kiter). This means a lessened FEV vs FEV1/FVC ratio compared to cigarettes, which is believed to be less harmful for the airways long-term though it may lead to general hoarseness."
and what's more interesting is this " United Kingdom - Until July of 2007, hookahs could be smoked inside any public place. But after smoking was banned inside public places by the government, hookahs are only allowed to be smoked outside. There are, however, a few exceptions to this. If the building has three areas of ventilation, such as two walls with windows and a roof with a skylight that can be opened, then it can be smoked inside. Because England has a somewhat rainy and cool climate, this can present a challenge to outdoor hookah smoking sessions." and
"United states - Recently many cities, states and countries have implemented smoking bans. In some jurisdictions, hookah businesses can be exempted from the policies through special permits. Some permits however, have requirements such as the business earning a certain minimum percentage of their revenue from alcohol or tobacco."
I felt sorry for Brunei's best shisha provider where they have lost about 50% or more on their sales after the Tobacco Act 2008 took place on the 1st of June 2008.I really hope that the authorities would make an excemption on this type of business just like how any other influential countries deal with it.

Lunch Invitation by Mrs Pengiran Shikin
DOA SELAMAT & LUNCH
Yesterday 28.6.08, i attended a reception held by Mrs Pengiran and the family at her new residence. Amongst the guests were her previous students ND/08 and also ND/11., also present was her colleagues Ms Siti, Ms Precy and Mdm Nur Sham.
It was really great to meet the Havoc Family during our final day of having 'fun' as next week is going to be a tough week for all of us as we are going to start our industrial attachment. The reception just was not only for having free lunch but we also had a short doa (doa selamat) for the graduates and also for my batch for safe journey in the future.
I'd Like to thank Ms Pengiran for the invitation. and thanks for letting us taking pictures of the airplane model. HEHE

Dinner at Excapade Sushi
EXCAPADE FOR SUSHI
So right after the movie, sham decided to have dinner at Escapade Sushi Gadong Branch where you can find the best sushi restaurant here in Brunei. I'm not a seafood person and this was my third sushi outing since my last which was one and a half years ago.
Seriously, i don't remember any of the names of these excellent tasty food! All i know is Salmon!
Sham took this shot below:

The prices are not bad at all and i enjoyed my food very much. For those who are new to the Japanese style. I recommend you Escapade Sushi. The place is very comfy and cozy... and the most important thing is that the customer service is very good! *two thumbs up*

Movie Review: Wanted
This movie is Awesome! Watched it with Sham, Amal and Lady Dee today at the Mall Cineplax. More synopsis HERE.
The Mall was totally congested today. i was 10 minutes late for the movie. So, my advice is that you must be there 30 minutes before the show especially during Pay-day/ week..

Berakas Rainforest Reserve outing with the Havoc Photog
SECOND OFFICIAL HAVOC OUTING
Went outing with the havoc bloggers was fun! This is our second activity so far, i think the first was in Bandar during the Tug-Of-War competition at Taman Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien. The theme for the outing are "the Nature feel" Therefore we decided to go to the Berakas Forest Reserve around 4pm in the afternoon, sadly.. we didn't get to snap a lot of pictures... especially for me, i was actually hoping for birds, monkeys, butterfly etc.. but anyway i enjoyed it. .
I was equipped with my abby ofcourse, and through out the track i was only depending on my 75-300mm lens cause i was hoping for some birds or monkeys.. but they didnt show up.
Anyway..Joe didn't make it to the Havoc outing sadly. . i was really hoping for him to come along instead sham showed up! HEHE.. Funny dude joined the outing and i tell you.. everytime he's around, he brought a laughing gas with him! and yeah.. we laughed alot after we came out from the jungle. and after that we headed to Usof cafe at delima for high tea..
Next outing is going to be held soon before the school break is over.. :D
